The research area of enterprise's environmental sustainable development is combining with environmental economic and corporation management. Nowadays, there is no doubt that the strategy of sustainable development becomes the common selection in the world. However, enterprises are facing great challenges when they gradually become an economic entity with independent legal status. In China and Russia, study on sustainable development of enterprise still is a new subject which has less empirical research. Although in view of this topic, various domestic and foreign scholars have done a lot of study. In this paper, take the enterprise’s sustainable development as the research object, provided some research ideas, and hope that this study could make some progress in the field of research.
The possible innovations of this study include the following aspects:
• On the basis of large amount of literature to give solutions about problems of enterprise’s sustainable development from three levels, that are macro, meso, and micro as well as analyze the situations.
• In view of the current situation of Chinese and Russian enterprises, find out some issues and give suggestions.
• Discusses some measures of steel industry, and analyze the situation of Baosteel Group through SWOT model in sustainable development. Besides, put forward some suggestions for its practical problems.
This paper is divided into three parts.
The first chapter is theoretical basis for environmental sustainable development of enterprise which also including three sections. The first one is definition, importance, development and basic principles. Based on the above concepts, the second section is main factors affecting the environmental sustainable development of enterprises. Namely, involves core competence and long-term competitive advantage; harmony of enterprise, social and environment; corporate social responsibility; the level of technology. The third one is the theoretical study. That is mainly including capacity evaluation and its theoretical basis.
The second chapter is the situation analysis and primal problems of environmental sustainable development for Chinese and Russian enterprises which involves two sections, one for China, and another for Russia. First of all, analyze the advantages and disadvantages, and then get some problems during the development period. Take Chinese enterprises for example, some of them are still selecting the extensive mode of economic growth, simple pursuit a high production and income. However, fortunately, the sustainable development has become a consensus of the governments and peoples in the world at present. China has actively responded and takes part in various global activities. In addition, government has increased the investment in environmental protection, especially in support of scientific and technological innovation, green production and so on.
The third chapter is study on the countermeasures to achieve the environmental sustainable development of enterprises. In this part, mainly put forward some solutions and recommendations based on the analysis and research study. In addition, choose Baosteel carry out case study which is a Chinese largest enterprise in the iron and steel industry.
This paper will be a comparative research into enterprise’s environmental sustainable development. There are several objectives of this paper.
• The first intention of the research is to understand the concept and importance of sustainable development as well as the factors. To this end, more and more people could realize the necessity of get well with environment. Meanwhile, pay more attention to the relationship between economic and ecology.
• The second is to explore the competitiveness of enterprises, especially in SMEs. To a certain extent, it could enhance the capacity of sustainable development.
The third purpose is to identify the potential problems exist in Chinese and Russian enterprises through analyze the situations. And provide some ideas to deal with these issues.
Therefore, this study will answer the following questions:
Why it is necessary to choose a strategy of sustainable development nowadays?
What are the factors should be taken into account to analyze the enterprise’s capacity of sustainable development.
What problems exist in the Chinese and Russian enterprises of environmental sustainable development?
How to solve these issues?

The purpose of this section is to provide a brief summary of the objectives and research methods of the study. It also concludes the main findings of this research. What is more, limitations and recommendations for further research will be addressed.
As mentioned in the literature review, the first one is that most of the studies from the view of social sustainable development, but less focuses on enterprises so that the study cannot be made comprehensively.
Therefore, the research aims to get a specific concept of enterprise’s environmental sustainable development. That is means enterprises should not only strive to meet consumer's demand, but also rational utilize natural resources and energy. Realize the harmonious relationship in enterprise, society, competitors and consumers by pursuing comprehensive benefit.
Sustainable development is a new development concept and strategy, it has changed over the confrontation between man and nature becomes a harmonious relationship. It requires the development of social and economic must be coordinated with the utilization of resources and environmental protection. Base on meet the needs for modem people. At the same time without compromising the ability of future generations to satisfy. The idea of sustainable development is in line with the economic, social and ecological system. Meanwhile, it has a revolutionary progress in the history of human development.
Sustainable development strategy is the inevitable choice of the modem market economy. Sustainable development strategy is a product of modem market economy, the social environment as well as the inevitable choice of governments. After a long brewing process, its production marked the awakening of the people for survival consciousness and concept of the update. Since the industrial revolution, the western capitalist countries accelerated the pace of industrialization.
The strategic significance of sustainable development is that it puts forward the three principles of sustainable development. At present, these principles are has been widely recognized around the world, including the principle of fairness, sustainability and commonality.
The main factors as the following points:
-Core competence and long-term competitive advantage;
-Harmony of enterprise, social and environment;
-Corporate social responsibility;
-The level of technology.
About the theoretical study, that is mainly including capacity evaluation and its theoretical basis. Among, the latter including:
-Analytic Hierarchy Process
-Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation
-Efficacy Coefficient
Besides, analyze the situation of Chinese and Russian enterprises in environmental sustainable development. Meanwhile, put forward some problems and solution and suggestions.
The facts of Chinese enterprises indicate that they choose a serious waste of resources mode in past decades. Namely, first pollute environment, then fight it. And it has paid tremendous ecological and social costs. Some enterprises are still the extensive mode of economic growth, simple pursuit a high production and income. However, fortunately, the sustainable development has become a consensus of the governments and peoples in the world at present. China has actively responded and takes part in various global activities. In addition, government has increased the investment in environmental protection, especially in support of scientific and technological innovation, green production and so on.
The advantages of environmental sustainable development for Chinese enterprises as the following points:
-Higher accuracy and timeliness of information.
-Higher adaptability and flexibility.
-Smaller difficulty of management and lower cost.
-Enterprise goals are more likely to agree.
-Present economic environment provides the basis for SME’s competition.
-Chinese policy is provided a guarantee for SME’s competition.
The disadvantages of environmental sustainable development for Chinese enterprises as the following points:
-The backwardness in management.
-Government services are not in place
-The qualities of personnel are not high.
-E-commerce information lags in the application of enterprise’s management and operation
-Corporate finance is difficult.
-The production technology and R & D capability are backward.
Sum up the following problems through the analysis of the current situation of the sustainable development of the Chinese enterprises, especially in SMEs.
-Excessive pursuit of economic benefits
-Lack of high technology
-Enterprise system is incomplete
-Serious shortage of fund
On the one hand, Russia has abundant land and natural resources as well as strong in science and technology. Government invests a lot of fiscal funds in the technology construction. Meanwhile, advocate take the science and technology apply in the production of enterprises. This is conducive to the sustainable development of Russian enterprises.
